My go-to drink at a bar is a bourbon—preferably in a well-crafted Old Fashioned. It’s my litmus test for a good bartender, as you can quickly tell if they know what they’re doing. Having enjoyed my fair share of Old Fashioneds over the years, I’ve become quite picky.

As a tea drinker, though, I’ve found a delightful non-alcoholic alternative: Harney & Sons’ Black Cask Bourbon tea. It beautifully captures the smoky, rich essence of a strong bourbon, with hints of vanilla, caramel, and black tea. It’s perfect for those afternoons when I’m craving that signature smoky flavor but want to skip the alcohol.

I’m a fan of peaty, smoky scotches—those that evoke the aroma of moss and earth—so finding a tea that mirrors that depth of flavor is a rare and satisfying treat. Every tea I’ve tried from Harney & Sons has been a wonderful experience, and Black Cask Bourbon tea is no exception.

Not only is the flavor incredible, but the elegant tin it comes in perfectly complements the tea’s sophistication—it’s a nod to the refinement of a fine bourbon.

If you’ve tried this tea, I’d love to hear your thoughts! And if you’re a bourbon lover looking for a way to enjoy those smoky flavors without the alcohol (and the hangover), I highly recommend giving this tea a try. It’s a truly unique experience. Cheers!
